Fan Art

As part of our Blotch and Splotch art unit we have been exploring random techniques to use paint, inks and dye.

We used the fan to draw the circle. I used three different coIours. I spins very fast. Lauren.

I used some cardboard. I drew in different colours. The patterns are cool.

Finn

Doing the fan was fun. I liked the fan going around. It was cool.

Katy

The fan art was really cool because I found it unusual.

Bradley

I think the fan art was very good. The paper flew off and hit Naki's leg. I had to draw carefully.

Michael

The fan art was very fun and easy to do.

I found it very interesting .
Jordan

You pick up cardboard and stick it on the fan. Then pick up the pen. Push the pen onto the cardboard when it spins around.

Dillion

I draw the circle. I used yellow and pink. It was fun to draw on the paper.

Well Done Everyone !

We had a brilliant day. Thank you to the Rotary Club for setting up the event, to all of our adult helpers who made it all possible and to our supporters who came along on the day.

The 2016 Soapbox Derby was an epic event. It was interesting trying out an unknown track at the new venue. We all had a awesome time and survived the competitive racing.

Our Fantastic Fast Drivers were:

Thiha, Cameron, Carson and Cole.

Our Perfect Pit Crew were:

Matthew and Julia.

Well done Sommerville!

Edgewater Whanau Athletic Sports Was Whanautastic

It was a lovely day outside for sports. I did some running, shot put and long jump. It was a hot day. Finn

My favorite thing was the running, shot put and long jump. I felt happy because it was a beautiful day. Lauren

I really liked the running track because it was not as competitive as some of the other sports on the field. The rules were more relaxed. Bradley

We do throwing the ball into the bucket at the gym. We throw the ball five times and you get points if you get it in the bucket. I feel excited because we like Athletics day. Troy

I am in Light Blue with my friends. I did long jump. It was fun to run and jump. I am happy to go go outside because I like sports. Katy.

Athletics day was really because I did a long jump. I landed on two feet. It was a big jump. I felt puffed. Michael

It was fun. I liked the face paint. I was Maroon. I play with the ball. Joseph.
