Summer is fast approaching with super fun times planned ahead for MOTAT. Not only does November bring warmer weather and sunshine to enjoy but there's also the chance to travel back in time to experience an array of historical highlights of years gone by.
Spend a fun-filled day exploring the delightful world of bubbles in an event specially designed to engage youngsters with the science and wonder of bubbles. Then, while you're here, celebrate the evolution of transportation with November's Weekends of Imagination theme, Weird & Wacky Transport.
Thinking ahead to December is always exciting, especially when we have our magical Christmas Lights at MOTAT, Bikes, Bands & BBQs and the LEGO® Weekend to look forward to. It's going to be a bumper couple of months!

Embark on a nostalgic adventure back in time! Take a trip through the past century, stopping off in different decades for a taste of the unique technologies, music and foods of each era.
Dance like it's 1984 with Madonna's 'Like A Virgin', take in the vintage market stalls and makeup demonstrations or be serenaded by the famous tunes of the Andrews Sisters – there's bound to be a decade to suit everyone!

WEEKENDS OF IMAGINATION: WEIRD & WACKY TRANSPORT
November: Every Saturday & Sunday
Weird & Wacky Transport celebrates the evolution of transportation! Engage and interact with some of the strangest ways of getting from point A to point B from yike bikes to hover boards and unicycles. There will be live demonstrations by specialised riders/drivers each week and children can even create their own weird and wacky transport prototypes!

Come enjoy the Christmas spirit and celebrate the gift of giving with MOTAT's annual Christmas Lights at MOTAT event. Meet Santa and his elves, watch an outdoor movie and share in the magic of Christmas with sparkling fairy lights, carollers, Santa's grotto and more! $2 entry fee – all proceeds go towards gifts for Auckland Women's Refuge and Auckland City Mission.
