WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY Bring your swimming gear, a packed lunch and a drink

We have two important trips to get ready for...

Wednesday 30 November Trip 1 = Transition Visit to Te Hapori - Community Links Programme.

Several students from our class are going to work in the Te Hapori - Community Links Programme in 2017. We are taking them to have a look and to find out what kinds of things people do in the "Life Skills" programme.

After we see the Te Hapori morning programme at Sommerville we will go for a swim with our Te Hapori friends. Then we will eat lunch together back at Te Hapori before returning to Edgewater College for taxi time.

Bring your swimming gear, a packed lunch and a drink.

Friday December 2 Trip 2 = Pakuranga College Tryathalon

All the "Speed and Stamina" training we have done this term will be tested on Friday. We will have a fun day exercising and socialising with our friends at Pakuranga College.

Tryathalon = try running, try cycling and try swimming

Bring your swimming gear, sunblock, a hat, a packed lunch and a drink.

Technology - Life Hacks

Well friend, the people of the internet are about to blow your mind. These 10 life hacks are sure to make you smack your forehead and scream “why didn’t I know this before!?” For example, did you know that if you want to make a bbq and forget your lighting fluid you can use a handful of potato chips instead? Chips have quite a bit of fat in them, making them very flammable. Or did you ever struggle trying to cut open a kiwi? You probably used a knife wasting much of the food, but the best way to do it is by simply using a spoon!
Watch these and many more awesome tricks in the following video. And make sure you watch to the very end to see the plastic bag hack!

Eggciting tricks

Here are a few egg tricks to go with Kevin's egg tricks.

Why did the egg cross the road?
To get to the shell station.

What do you call a city of 20 million eggs?
New Yolk City!

Knock, Knock!
Who’s there?
Omelette who?
Omelette smarter than I look!

Why can’t you tease egg whites?
They can’t take a yolk.

At a party, a magician was producing egg after egg from a little boy’s ear.
“There!” he said proudly. “I bet your Mum can’t produce eggs without hens, can she?”
“Oh yes, she can,” said the boy. “She keeps ducks.”

What happens if you play table tennis with a bad egg?
It goes ping, then it goes pong.

Did you hear about the wizard who turned his friend into an egg?
He kept trying to poach his ideas.

What do you call an egg that goes on safari?
An eggs-plorer!

What happens when you tell an egg a joke?
It cracks up!

What day of the week do chickens hate the most?

Why did the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide!

Why does a chicken coop only have 2 doors?Because if it had 4 doors it would be a sedan!

Why did the chicken cross the internet? To get to the other site!
